Nursing care is provided seven days a week, 24 hours a day. A registered staff member is on duty at all times, and the nursing staff assists the residents with all their activities of daily living as needed. We are committed to providing the highest quality of individualized care to enhance the lives of our residents. The residents and families are encouraged to be active participants in care planning. Family involvement is strongly recommended.
We offer active and compassionate therapy intended to comfort and support individuals and families who are living with life threatening illness. During periods of illness and bereavement we strive to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual expectations and needs, while remaining sensitive to cultural, personal, and religious beliefs, values and practices. Mount Nemo staff has been trained in planning and delivering care through the collaborative efforts of an interdisciplinary team including the individual, family and caregivers.
Mount Nemo Christian Nursing Home offers a positive approach to the person suffering from dementia. Our care emphasizes the whole family not just individuals who suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Our care approach accommodates and supports existing levels of function and development rather than requiring people with dementia to perform in ways that are no longer possible. Warmth, compassion, creativity, insight, and practicality combine in the comprehensive program for care. All activities of daily living are covered in a way that emphasizes the dignity and self-respect of our residents.
